BMC Recruitment 2026 for 612 Trade Apprentice Posts

Brihanmumbai Mahanagarpalika (BMC), through its Labour Department, has announced 612 Trade Apprentice vacancies across 18 ITI trades under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The recruitment includes Electrician, Plumber, Diesel Mechanic, Wireman, Fitter, COPA, Welder, Carpenter, Mechanic Motor Vehicle and several other trades. Candidates generally require SSC (10th) with Marathi as a 100-mark subject along with successful completion of all semesters of the relevant ITI trade. Maharashtra residents who meet the requirements must first register through the Apprenticeship India portal and then attend the recruitment mela in Mumbai on 20 or 21 August 2026, depending on their trade.

How to Apply
Visit the Apprenticeship India portal and complete the required candidate registration.
Log in to the portal and search for apprenticeship opportunities offered by MCGM/BMC.
Select BMC as the establishment and complete the required apprenticeship registration before attending the mela.
Candidates applying for Electrician, Plumber, Refrigeration & AC Mechanic, Draughtsman Civil, Turner, Desktop Publishing Operator, Motor Vehicle Body Builder, Diesel Mechanic or Machinist must attend the recruitment mela on 20 August 2026.
Candidates applying for Wireman, Fitter, Mason, Carpenter, Painter General, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Welder, COPA or Pump Operator Cum Mechanic must attend on 21 August 2026.
Report between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM at Jamsaheb Mukadam Government ITI, Govandi, near S.T. Workshop, Kirol Road, Vidyavihar (P), Mumbai – 400086.
Fill in the prescribed application form at the recruitment mela and submit the required self-attested documents.
Carry original SSC, ITI, domicile, identity, category and other applicable certificates for verification.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on ITI final-semester marks and applicable reservation provisions.
Selected candidates must complete document verification, accept the online apprenticeship offer and execute the Model Contract of Apprenticeship Training.
