CSIR NEERI Recruitment 2026 – Walk-In Interview for 02 Project Associate-I Posts

The National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR NEERI), a constituent of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Project Associate-I under the project titled “Integrated bio based solutions to uplift multilayer plastic material (BIOLIFT)”. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with an academic background in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences to work on a cutting-edge bio-environmental research initiative. The position offers both field and laboratory experience with advanced molecular biology techniques and analytical tools. The engagement is purely temporary, and selection will be made through a walk-in interview scheduled for 27 January 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:

• M.Sc. or Integrated Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences from a recognized university.
• Degree must be supported by a provisional certificate at minimum.

Experience:

• Practical exposure in survey and fieldwork.
• Laboratory experience relevant to environmental and molecular biology research.
• Skills in data analysis and analytical instrumentation.

Desirable:

• Specific desirable skills are not explicitly listed but prior experience aligned with project goals is advantageous.

Salary Details

• With National Eligibility Test (NET/GATE) or Equivalent: ₹31,000/- + HRA
• Without National Level Qualification: ₹25,000/- + HRA

Note: HRA will be applicable as per CSIR rules and funding guidelines.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as of the last date of application.
• Relaxation applicable as per Govt. of India rules for reserved categories.
